I was having a hard time finding someone to do my hair and makeup for my wedding day and came across Cathy and Vivian on Yelp. Unlike many others, they were quick to respond with information and set me up with a trial date. When I arrived for my trial, there was a girl before me finishing up and she had BEAUTIFUL hair and makeup, I knew I was in the right place! Cathy and Vivian are super fun, professional and friendly. Not only were they so pleasant to be around, Cathy did an AMAZING job on my hair and makeup. I was nervous for makeup because I normally don't wear a lot, but Cathy reassured me, showed me what she was doing (and used the best products!) and made my makeup natural and flawless! She knew exactly what shades to use to compliment my skin tone. I LOVED my makeup!! I equally loved my hair! Cathy did a beautiful low up do with curls and swooping bang. I got so many compliments after showing friends and family my hair. She is just naturally talented at hair and makeup and would do a great job on anyone. I have already recommended Makeup By Cathy to friends for their upcoming weddings. After such a successful trial, I am so excited for my wedding day!!

Ahhhh I love Cathy! She is the sweetest person! I'm so glad I found her. I found her through Bings Design, who referred me to her since Bings Design was booked on the day of my wedding. Cathy did my hair and makeup for my wedding, and she made me look stunning! She was kind enough to still book me, even though she had another wedding on the same day. She did my makeup and hair from about 7:30am-9:30am on my wedding day, the ceremony was at 2:00pm, the reception started at 7:00pm, my husband and I went to our hotel room at around 11:00pm, and my makeup and hair was still flawless at the end of the night! My makeup and hair also looked good in photos! Wow! And of course, the most important thing is that my husband thought I looked gorgeous on our wedding day. At the end of the night, he said, "You looked reaaaaally good." Hehehee! Thank you, Cathy!

This review is long overdue!  I was referred to Cathy and her team by my friend and I am so happy that I did!  From the first moment of emailing Cathy, she was responsive, friendly and super helpful.  Cathy was very professional in sketching out the day-of timeline.  She worked with me to fit all the hair and makeup into my crazy morning schedule and was flexible in adjusting the timeline at the last minute.   Cathy did the hair and makeup for me, the moms and my bridal party and did an absolutely amazing job. The best I can describe her work is that she makes you look like the best version of yourself. Everyone looked beautiful and special in a way that just enhanced who they were. I had a special request of braids hairstyle for my bridal party and she made each style uniquely their own and it was gorgeous.   The trial that we did before the wedding was really helpful! Cathy knew what worked well for my face and the outcome on the wedding day was absolutely wonderful.  I showed her a few pictures of the desire hairstyles and she adjusted a few things based on what would work for me best and I couldn't be more happy w/ the end result. And on the day-of, she was fun and bubbly to be around, helped keep the mood light and calm. Couldn't have asked for more!!!   I couldn't have asked for a better hair & makeup artist for the most memorable day of my life, I would recommend Cathy to anyone!!!

Cathy is the best. She did an excellent job. She's so detailed and patience. When she said she need 2 hours to do the hair and make up, she really need 2 hours to do the perfect make up and hair. She did my hair according to my face shape and what suits me the best. It was wonderful working with her. She made me feel like a princess. 🙂 She's really really nice and professional. I've had the pleasure of getting glammed by Cathy and also working alongside Cathy multiple times. And what can I say, Cathy is simply the best! She is, as many know, an extraordinary human being but a big bonus is that she is an amazing artist who does both make up and hair using the best technique, precision and care for all of her clients. She takes her time and certainly makes everyone feel comfortable and beautiful in the end. Trust me, she will go above and beyond for you and to top it off, make you feel beautiful and fabulous! 5+ stars for Cathy!

Service: Bridal hair and makeup As I patiently wait for my wedding photos from my photographer (I did not take any with my phone) I delay this review more and more... so the few photos of my hair and makeup (from others) will suffice to post for this review. Cathy is the sweetest hair and makeup artist out there! She really does look out for you as a person, not just a client. With that said, Cathy will take your wants and needs as well as provide professional opinions and come up with something wonderful! I also come to Cathy for eyelash extensions (obsessed) and did my lash extension specifically for the wedding. It was voluminous and the perfect length. It made my whole overall makeup look softer (but not too natural) and the eyes accentuated, which is exactly what I wanted. It shows in her work that she has been in this business for a long time. Hopefully my pictures do her work justice. For her personality, I want to give her an extra star but five is the max - as good as it gets!
